Meet two of the most intriguing artists of the Victorian period through their political and social interests.

Married in 1887 when each was already well established as an artist, Evelyn and William De Morgan formed the most unique partnership of the age. They were well matched in their liberal political views and desire for equality and peace.

These shared ideals and partnership of artistic inspiration and equality allowed them both to create beautiful artworks.

In this talk, Sarah Hardy, Director of the De Morgan Museum, will introduce the artists, their techniques and lives together. You will be treated to beautiful images of Pre-Raphaelite art and Victorian ceramics. Perfect for anyone new to De Morgan, or looking to learn something more about the couple’s extraordinary lives together.
